It's been a great year here at APC Office. Before we jump into 2020, let's take a look back on 2019!
From all of us here at APC, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
In January, we took a look at our storage solution for several David Jones stores throughout Australia. These stores required durable, efficient and adaptable back off house storage to allow for more items to be kept on-site and which could be easily located and accessed by staff. APC manufactured and installed several mobile shelving systems, static shelving units and lockers across all stores.
In February, we took a look at our project for the University of New South Wales. This project included the installation of several APC customised Ezi-Drive Aislesavers. These Aislesavers are being used to house more than 10,000 items of personal papers and official records relating to the former Prime Minister John Howard’s political career.
We introduced our Medical Range consisting of solutions for the storage needs of hospitals, medical facilities and other healthcare environments. APC's Medical Range incorporates mobile shelving (Aislesavers), trolleys, lockers, shelving, wire shelving, wire baskets, modular storage units and APC' s newly developed mobile wire shelving system (Top-Track®).
With a wide selection of lockers available, APC shared our tips for selecting the appropriate locker for your environment and requirements.
APC delivered a customised locker solution for St Joseph’s School in rural South Australia. The project involved the supply of heavy-duty plastic lockers to accommodate more than 180 students, with a plan to install more lockers in the future. APC’s ability to customise our products to meet the requirements of the school and deliver them before the commencement of the term made us the ideal candidate for the project.
The Victorian Government banned mobile phones from Victoria state schools in a bid to tackle cyberbullying and other distractions in the classroom. APC devised a way to remove the distraction of the phones while still allowing them into the schools. Following the idea of moderated use, an effective solution is for students to store their mobile devices in APC’s Phone Lockers during school hours.
In July, we introduced Snughooks to our product range. Snughooks are a new type of wall hook designed with safety in mind. No part of the Snughook extends past the front face, reducing hazards and providing a wall hook that is safe, strong and looks great too.
In August, APC announced a range of commercial storage products had been AFRDI Green Tick Approved. Approved products include our Trimline and Slimline Mobile Pedestals and our Trimline Mobile Caddy, with plans to have more of our product range certified soon. Green Tick approved products meet several environmental and durability standards including, but not limited to, design for disassembly, recycling, reuse and product refurbishment, materials selection, ethical sourcing and compliance with laws and regulations.
In September, APC shared our tips for Spring cleaning the office. Having a clean and clutter-free office can work wonders for the overall functionality of your employees and business. Having the right storage furniture is helpful when it comes to filing and organising paperwork and other important items. APC has a range of practical storage solutions for your everyday office storage needs. Our range includes filing cabinets, storage cabinets, mobile pedestals, mobile shelving, open shelving, industrial shelving, wire shelving, workstation cabinets, wall hooks and lockers.
The weeks leading up to the final day of the working year before the Christmas/New Year break is an exciting time for offices all over the globe. To ensure you arrive back to your office plants still alive and a clean and orderly office, APC shared some tips to prepare your office before returning to work following the festive season.
West Australia became the next state to adopt a mobile phone ban in public schools. The WA move largely reflects bans in New South Wales and Victoria that will take effect in 2020.
Every year new trends are adopted in workplaces all over the world. APC took a look at some of the top trends of 2019.
