APC's Ezi-Drive Aislesaver used to store documents of national significance

More than 10,000 items of personal papers and official records pertaining to former Prime Minister John Howard’s political career are now being safely stored in one APC’s customised mobile shelving units.

The John Howard Collection represents a significant record of Australia’s recent history including gun control and major economic reform. The Howard Library was officially opened in December with John Howard and Prime Minister Scott Morrison in attendance.

The collection is separated into two parts: an exhibition and public display located at Old Parliament House, Canberra, and the personal papers and official records located in one of APC’s customised Ezi-Drive Aislesavers at UNSW, also in Canberra.

APC’s customised Aislesaver with built-in pull-out reference shelves located at UNSW is being used to store the records, including papers from the early years of John Howard’s political career to his time as Treasurer, Leader of the Opposition and Prime Minister, covering the period from 1974 to 2007.

Our customised Ezi-Drive Aislesaver is part of a larger storage solution we provided to UNSW for its rare and valuable Special Collections.

APC’s Ezi-Drive Aislesaver is a mechanically assisted, mobile shelving system ideal for storing large amounts of archival material. Our Ezi-Drive Aislesaver provides ultimate usage of the storage area, making it the perfect solution for storing a large number of documents.

We're always excited to see our clients benefit from our storage solutions and are proud to see such a significant collection stored in one of our products.
