Looking Back: Bespoke Storage Solution for Downer EDI (2010)
21 February 2018
We look back 7 years, when we collaborated with Perth architects MKDC to provide a sleek, award-winning commercial fit-out for Downer EDI.

Seven years ago APC leapt at the opportunity to work with well-known Perth architects MKDC to provide a bespoke storage solution, for their high-end client Downer EDI.
Downer EDI wanted to amalgamate no less than five satellite groups together under one roof in Canningvale. This meant consolidating mountains of archival documents, book keeping and company records: to be stored on the second floor of the new premises. APC provided a customised solution that involved a mix of Uni-Shelf (Static Steel Shelving), various sized Tambour Cabinets and Ezi-Slide Aislesaver Systems (push-pull mobile shelving).
Although there was a great deal of heavy lifting, as well as intricate planning and logistics, the mental and physical effort was worth it. The vision and talent of MKDC provided for a beautiful corporate environment to ensure their clients staff had a modern storage area that kept everything organised and secure – but also looked picture perfect. APC provided a harmonious mix of form and function to compliment the architect's design.
APC met the critical 3 week delivery and installation deadline and provided an ultimate storage solution to fit in with the client’s new corporate environment. It’s great to look back on exciting projects like this that allowed us to display our project management and installation capabilities to the top end of town.
